The Taste Of A 2nd Life
The Taste of A Second Life, è il nuovo progetto discografico del Sassofonista Gabriele Buonasorte che, dopo 5 anni che lo hanno visto impegnato nella produzione artistica di due importanti progetti discografici della scena pop cantautorale, e come sideman di importanti musicisti, torna con un nuovo lavoro a suo nome sulla scena jazz internazionale, e lo fa al fianco di tre musicisti eccezionali. Una band esplosiva compone infatti questo nuovo quartetto, i TIME-LAPSE, Greg Burk (Piano – Sinthesizers), Gabriele Lazzarotti (Bass) e John B. Arnold (Drum and Live electronics).
Un concept album, dal sound elettro/acustico con colori ambient e alcune diramazioni free, che racconta, con una serie di quadri, un particolare periodo della vita del compositore, durante il quale ha sperimentato la paura di morire, ma allo stesso tempo ha scoperto una forza d’animo travolgente che ha determinato una velocissima ripresa e ha dato inizio alla sua seconda vita, umana e professionale.
Con Gabriele abbiamo pensato un concept che avesse potuto raccontare visivamente l’idea dell’album e da qui sono nate le immagini che poi sono divenute l’artwork del disco.
The Taste of a Second Life is the new recording project by saxophonist Gabriele Buonasorte, who, after five years dedicated to the artistic production of two major pop–songwriting albums and collaborations as a sideman with prominent musicians, returns to the international jazz scene with a new work under his own name—alongside three exceptional artists.
This new quartet, TIME-LAPSE, features an explosive lineup: Greg Burk (piano, synthesizers), Gabriele Lazzarotti (bass), and John B. Arnold (drums and live electronics).
A concept album with an electro-acoustic sound, colored by ambient atmospheres and free-form elements, it portrays—through a series of musical tableaux—a particular period in the composer’s life during which he faced the fear of dying, yet discovered a powerful inner strength that led to a rapid recovery and marked the beginning of his “second life,” both human and professional.
Together with Gabriele, we conceived a visual concept that could represent the essence of the album, and from that idea came the images that later became the record’s artwork..
